About Me

My name is David Taylor. I’m a thinker, a reader, and a gardener. I like to design and make things.

I have worked in an art store, daily newspaper, print shop,  life insurance firm, a hospital call center, and at a local television station. Now I work on projects in my maker space, and garden. I spent most of my working life at a daily newspaper in the advertising department as a graphic designer and team leader. During my time there I “stopped the presses” twice.  I have been a stay-at-home dad for a few years. During that time I home schooled our son, and worked on various projects at night.

You can learn about the projects I am working on, have worked, and considering on the Projects page.

I have very eclectic taste in music and will listen to anything, but I prefer Gulf & Western, Latin, Classical, old Jazz, and World Music. My interest in Latin music has led to an appreciation of rap, especially Latin rap.

I play guitar and ukulele. I also like to sketch with ink and pastels.

The name Jellyfish Principle was inspired by the Jack Johnson song Bubble Toes.
